  • Knotting Thread for Hand Sewing.

    Many of you probably already use this method: Lay the end of the thread along the shaft of the needle so it is pointing toward the eye of the needle.     How many ways can you thread a needle, or how many people does it take to screw in a light bulb? Just kidding! I cut the end of the thread at an angle, then moisten the eye of the needle. The moisture wicks the thread tip right through the eye of the needle. Works with hand or SM needles. Next post will be how to knot the end of the thread!

    Warm up with a sample using the same fabric/batting combo as in the project. Drop the feed dogs or lower the stitch length to zero to slow down the motion of the feed dogs. Use a free motion/spring foot so it will not press against the top side. Tighten the top tension a bit, to help avoid getting loops on the back side. A backing that has a busy pattern

    Present the 10% discount card to the cashier. I have used the discount card for a number of years. First with another organization and for the last two years QCA. Be sure your card has not expired. The date is near the bottom/front of the card. I've never had anyone ask for the membership card or personal ID. But there may be a few who are more
