Here is one of my first published patterns (well, second) - very easy piecing, lots of possibilities with colors and some easy, machine applique! Blocks can be made in different sizes to get wall, lap or bed size quilts, with or without applique! I had lots of fun designing and making thins one!

Oh I like so many of them! Spirally loops, simple loops, stippling, and lately classic McTavishing too. Feathers are something I love too, but need so much more practice! :) Marija

Well, not the best quilt shop experience for you, I would say? :) I really disagree that quilting can not be taught - it can! That doesn't mean that you would be expert after the class, but you can learn a lot of great foundations and tips for good machine quilting and then you will of course improve by practice, practice, practice! My best friend and I wanted to try a new gadget! - it is Sue Pelland's Leaves Galore ruler set, made to easily cut curves or leaf shapes, really cool! We pre-fused a whole bunch of batiks with fusible and then cut out a LOT of leaf shapes and went to play, play, play! The result is this wall hanging! It was so much fun to make and to quilt!
