I too have a couple back up machines, I have a featherweight and a brother pq 1500 and a janome 7500 for back ups...The brother pq 1500 is a good straight stitch machine that works great for machine quilting. You can find used ones on the internet. Good luck with your search

I have a question.. for those who have more experience than me... What is the best way to cut up and piece a back for a twin size quilt, with a 4 yard pc of fabric? The backing needs to be at least 59 X 78...
