Nancy P-You're new to quilting and you decided to tackle a double wedding ring and Hawaiian applique--that's brave! I have been quilting for almost 20 years and still haven't tried a double wedding ring. Good for you!

Joni--the sheets work great, especially on red and deep-colored fabrics. I made a quilt for my niece and then washed it (without prewashing the fabrics first) and used this and it really worked on grabbing the reds! I think it was the Shout brand.

Heather--I also love crime and mystery books--have you read any of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series? Those are quirky fun to read. Also, check out books by Carl Hiassen, (he has a sick sense of humor--love it!), Scott Turow, Dan Brown, MIchael Connolly. All good reads!

Heather--I read "The Help." It took a couple of chapters to really get into it, but after that, I couldn't put it down.
