  • Re: How much fabric?

I prefer my quilt store but will shop Joanns for small wall hangings or "no touch" projects. I have such a large stash that I try to use fabric from it first. lol That doesn't always work however. When I first started quilting I bought 4-5 yards of many different whites that I thought I would use for backing. That was about 12 years ago

  • Re: How I baste/sandwich my quilts

Thea, this post helped me immensely. I always hate having to sandwich my quilts but this looks much better than what I have been doing. Thank you for taking the time to do it right. Judy

  • Re: August Embroidery Project/Teens gifts

Hi Mp, How about starting a hope chest for your female teens? You could make embroidered sheets, towels, placemats, etc. Maybe we could start a whole "new" trend (lol). Cute kitschy aprons are good for that also and scads of patterns are available with really cute accessories. For the boys how about pillowcases with their favorite sports team

Carolyn your prayer quilts sound wonderful. I have not heard of this idea before. What a worthwhile way to put a hobby to good use. Your production shows that you can quilt just about anywhere. Happy travelling. Judy

  • Quilting on the move

Hi, my name is Judy and my husband and I have been full-time rv'ers for about 20 months. My conditions to this lifestyle were that I could bring my hobbies and be able to follow my sports teams (Minnewsota Vikings and Twins) on satellite tv. I have my quilting supplies and tools with me and our satellite tv has been great. I'm looking forward
