That's too bad. I only went there twice and it was such a nice shop. I wish I had lived closer & gone more often. It's hard to see the area shops close! I can't bring myself to buy mostly online - love to go to the shops, feel the fabric & see it with my own eyes.

Susie, which shop is closing? My guess is it's closer to you than me but I haven't done much shopping lately (money going to basement remodel & no place to put any more fabric). This shop hop is very tempting!
Everyone's quilts are absolutely beautiful. I love how all of them are different but simply stunning. I asked for some help with the Jo Morton design. I wanted to share how it finished up. Of course the next class and assignment is tonight. Do you see the steam coming up off the fabric? That's because I just pressed
I have decided that I have gotten far enough on my sand hill crane quilt/wall hanging to show it. The crane just needs some eyes and legs now. Then I will add some kind of border and call it done.
Patti, your crane is gorgeous! I love seeing these birds when we go north to Wisconsin. Yours definitely looks like

Jan, I lived in Rochester for 5 years in the 90's. I was a sign language interpreter & worked at Churchville-Chili schools for three years. That area of the country is absolutely beautiful - I miss going to Letchworth in the Fall. Kudos to you for volunteering - volunteers do so much good! It really is rewarding to watch the younger ones learn

Hey, Nancy :-) Yep, just about everything is in the attic but I've managed to claim dining room space for my dsm, some tools & current projects but it's not the same as having my own space. I've barely done any sewing so I haven't been on here except to "lurk" once in a while (I especially love seeing what projects others

Debbie, I started out as a children's librarian & am now an adult librarian/branch manager for Chicago Public Library. The neighborhood branches are much smaller than the typical "suburban" libraries - most are around 8-10,000 square feet with a few newer ones pushing 14 or 15,000. I love it though working with the public has its ups

Hi, All :-) I haven't been on much lately so I thought I'd check in & see what's up. Looks like life as usual! I've been busy at work as I will be working at a different library starting Monday so I had to tie up all my loose ends, clean up computer files. etc. I'll miss my old staff but look forward to working with a new staff

I'll add a tip to Greenmonstr's thorough post - measure the shirts, or compare their sizes, before you trim them all down. You may want to see what the smallest one is to decide on what size to trim them all to, or you can use sashing (quilting cotton or leftover t-shirt fabric with interfacing) to make a smaller one the same size as larger
