  • Sweet Dreams Mystery quilt

I loved this pattern by Debbie Caffrey. I made a king size bed quilt, final size 116" x 102". To the quilt interior (80" x 80") I added about 20" to three sides (both sides and bottom) so that this quilt would function as a blanket for our bed at the cabin.

  • Quilt Top Finish - Mystery Quilt VI "Bittersweet"

In an effort to use up the mound of scraps I have accumulated I made the Mystery Quilt VI. Cutting a total of (628) 2-1/2" squares was challenging. I pretty much followed the steps given except step one where you make 96 four-patch blocks. I made my 16-patch blocks as one step. I haven't decided if I will add the 4-inch border.

  • First Blog, First Post

After many years of prompting by friends I decided to take the leap and create a blog. So this is it! My first blog post on my first blog. I love to create and make things. It's just how I'm wired. For the past eight years I have been quilting, or at least, trying to quilt. My first attempts were pretty amaturish, but my skills have improved
