In 2010 I made the Sweet Dreams mystery quilt. Here's a pic of the top before I added the borders. I really like this pattern that is created with the placement of the light and dark fabrics. Here's a pic of the final quilt. The piano keys-style scrappy borders were added and I quilted it with free-motion meandering. This quilt is used regularly
In an effort to use up the mound of scraps I have accumulated I made the Mystery Quilt VI. Cutting a total of (628) 2-1/2" squares was challenging. I pretty much followed the steps given except step one where you make 96 four-patch blocks. I made my 16-patch blocks as one step. I haven't decided if I will add the 4-inch border.
After many years of prompting by friends I decided to take the leap and create a blog. So this is it! My first blog post on my first blog. I love to create and make things. It's just how I'm wired. For the past eight years I have been quilting, or at least, trying to quilt. My first attempts were pretty amaturish, but my skills have improved
