Marge, I guess that's one way to test a quilt, mine do that too. But I mean, in the magazines when they show the same squares but in different fabric or the people who test new patterns. Claire

Hello All! Anyone know how to become a quilt tester? I would be interested in this. Thanks. Claire

I'm interested in trying my own design, but I'm having trouble figuring out how much to add to keep finished pieces the size I want. Never very good at math, so I am not etting very far. No squares or angled pieces, all rectangles of varring sizes. Do I add just a 1/4 inch on each side, more, less? HELP!! Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the big welcome. I'll be checking in from time to time to see what's new. I'm not sure just what a mystery quilt is or how it would be done here, but it sounds fun. Thanks again for making me feel welcome. Claire

Hello everyone, I'm glad to be here. 35 years ago, I bought my first sewing maching and a stack of squares (now we call them charm packs). I put as many of those squares together as I could as best I could. Soon after, I wandered into life sewing for nieces and nephews, dresses, dolls, laundry bags, hockey skate bags, holiday napkins. 27 years ago
