  • Re: Women of the Bible - week 24 - Dorcas/Tabitha

The block for Dorcas / Tabitha is a log cabin - the author of this quilt chose this block because Dorcas / Tabitha did her good works out of her home.

Linda _ I so agree with you - we are so lucky to live in the USA - we also need to get up off our duffs and fight for those women in the mid east who don't have these rights still today. They are still back in biblical times as far as rights. No one should have to live by those rules in 2015. I applaud those brave women over there who speak up and

The Shiprah & Puah block should be fairly easy to make - I will post mine later today. It is a block made up of squares - the only thing you need to watch when you cut squares is that you cut on the crossgrain lines along with the longwise grain lines - not on a bias line unless of course you are wanting to cut your material for a certain pattern

The midwives feared the Lord though so they did not do as the King of Egypt told them to do. They let the boy babies live. They

  • Re: this is a question about the membership here

Kris - I am like you - QCA was a wonderful place to come and I have made so many wonderful friends who have just disappeared over time. It is a shame that they make so much money off of us and give us such terrible service in return. I had no idea that QNNtv was not a perk anymore for membership I thought it still was - one of the reasons that I still

Linda - I hope you will join in and make the blocks with us. There is a group on Facebook called Women of the Bible Quilt and all the blocks so far are in the folders there. I can not give out the instructions for them here because they are for sale on the Stitchin' Thread Quilt Shop where they were developed but she releases them to different quilt
