  • Re: What Are You Up to Today? #9

Mamagshouse, I am in OK and soon, hopefully, to be in MN. I do not have a calling right now as a VT because with my health it became too difficult for me to get out there and do it. I don't like writing the letters or sending cards as I feel that if I am going to have it as a calling I wanted to be able to see the person to know what they really

Donna, Your Bargello quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I think of all the Bargello quilts that that is the sweetest pattern. Thank you again to everyone that posted since I last thanked the members... love you all! You really do give me the motivation to continue with this hobby of mine. Kris - if all else failed then yes get it back to the repair man - but make sure he is a good one - you have to remember all the problems I had with the tech here and then afterwards to hear

I am very close to being done with the top for my Autumn Baltimore Album quilt - I have enjoyed working on this quilt over the last year. it was one of those quilts that I enjoyed working on a little at a time. All the cutting out of pieces and then fusing them down and then the satin stitching would have overwhelmed me in a single sit down... I would

Kris, Adding my 2 cents for what it is worth here... when I spray baste I always end up pressing the quilt both front and back afterwards... I tighten the quilt backing tight on a table with my clips and spray the material - lay the batting on and smooth it out... I then lay the top on and fold it back towards the center - I spray baste the top - I

I am working this week on my Autumn Baltimore Album - I hope soon to be posting a picture of the finished top - I have no idea as yet what I am going to use for a backing fabric

Can someone please describe a candle mat to me - is it similar to a mug rug - what distinguishes the differences between them... I am still unable to join in in any of the swaps - I would sincerely hate to disappoint anyone and never know when I am able to sew crazy like I have been or if it will be months that my sewing machine sits still... But that

[quote user="Marie"] Pat and Kris, it's raining here in Millbury so I guess you are hurting with all the dampness. Hope you are feeling much better soon. I have a friend who has fibromyalgia and she hurts in this weather, warmth seems to help her so keep those joints wrapped up in something soft and cozy. Kris, I know with you it's
