Debbie - am so sorry you are going through this - believe me although 3.5 years looks like a long time now before you know it we will be turning 65 and you will be retiring. Just go to work each day with a smile on your face - don't let anyone see that they got to you- demand that extra money for training her - don't train her if you don't

Is - if you are looking for a real quick jelly roll pattern do the jelly roll race pattern - just sew all the pieces together end to end - then in half and half again till you get it the width you want - put some borders on and you are done. You can add some spice to it by adding in a square or other small block in between the strips. It is a fun quick

[quote user="Ginny"] Gee Thea, It is good to hear from you. I thought maybe you had given up on the site. Remember how I said that I hated 1/2 square triangles? Well, I went ahead and made up my quilt squares and somehow, magically, they were perfect when done. Don't know how that happened, but I am never going to stew in my juices again

Ginny - I am so very happy that you continued - I actually like doing 1/2 square triangles... I do them Eleanor Burns method at times and others just over size and square up afterwards. Sticheraz, the finger is healing but will never be the same - I truly cut the muscle pad pretty bad - it feels now like a piece of scar tissue under the skin... hard

I love QCA but am not a premium member anymore. They don't do anything for me to spend my little bit of extra money to give them it. I get what I need from my regular membership - not sure why anyone actually pays them anymore - the viruses - the bugs - the no answer to phone calls or messages... I don't see where they deserve my money but I

Marsha -thank you for your kind words - no Mom was not happy living anymore and she is in a much happier place - I do miss her a lot - wish we could have been together earlier - before she started going so far down hill. I have those days with my eyes too - I use an eyedrop by systane that works fairly well... my problem is from my RA... I am still

It is hard to type so this will be short but wanted to sy hello to Marsha... I screwd up my left index finger with my sewing machine and have huge bandage on it - amazing what losing that finger does to a person... This year has not been a very good one... besides 4 kitties leaving us to cross the rainbow bridge and Mom leaving to her castle in the

Thank you Kris, I spent the day at my friend's quilt shop - she needed someone to talk to and I have big shoulders - we had some fun and I taught her this new simple kaleidescope pattern that I learned. I am going to make up a sample and set up classes at the shop. It will make sweet baby quilts or lap quilts. The one I made with borders is about
