The Disney Princesses using a crayon on muslin technique.

Kathy, I do spray starch my fabrics before cutting or sewing, but I also use Wonder Under and that combination gives me crisp appliques. Or maybe I think they're crisp and I just don't know better...lol.

Marge, I'm so impressed with your skill level with PSP. I've done just a smidge with it but you've really taken it to another level. There's no doubt your finished quilt will be a masterpiece!!!

Kathy, Wow! You're so talented! You say you aren't creative? Anyone who can look at a picture and recreate the quilt without a pattern is certainly creative in my book. I love the negative image on one side of the block. It definitely is a happy quilt.

Gini, Your quilt is stunning. It's deserving of the site Show & Tell. You should submit it for sure!! I too, love the rounded inner border. Nice job!!!

Thanks Joyce and Valerie, Both options have definite possibilities. Joyce, your directions make perfect sense. And Valerie, I should have thought to check Connecting Thread's website. The pattern highlighted is beautiful. Thanks for the link.

I'm wanting to make a set of placemats for a wedding gift but am having a hard time finding a pattern I like. Anyone have one they'd like to share? The bride to be is not a girly type of girl...more of a down to earth type of person. Have a picture? Would love to see any you've done...thanks!

Hi Joyce...I'm a Joyce too. I think I have discovered that there are more people with the name of 'Joyce' who like to quilt. At least that what it looks like. I have gone years without running into another Joyce and since posting on this forum I think I've seen about 4 us now. Joyce's unite!!

Wow, Juli, I'm so jealous. I wish I had a husband who would find every quilt shop for me. My DH says he likes to go with me, but then he'll lean against some display and act like he's not bored, but you can just tell by the look on his face that he'd rather be anywhere but in a store. Shopping with me is anything but his favorite thing
