  • Basket of Posies-Fons and Porter pattern Jun 2011 mag

    Hay Hoo!! finished the top, it is now going to a church to be quilted for our Chapter to sell tickets. This project was fun to do I love when F&P prints the old patterns so that we can replicate them. They really feel like you are part of the history when you are able to recreate the end result.     gini I think it looks most natural. I love it if you hadn`t said anything I would think that is the way the blocks are supposed to be.. love job!

  • broken star, mini, machine, quilted, friend

    This mini quilt I had pieced together for an auction. my friend machine quilted it for me since she is such a gorgeous machine quilter. the strips of the quilt were only 3/4 of an in when finished. It went to an auction and someone bought it for $125. Sweet

    Cindy it looks amazing!! I used to teach the stack and whack classes at many stores in Central Ontario also One block wonder and the 4patch posey.. you did an excellent job with your piecing and I can also see why you loved the fabric.. it is gorgeous!! What is great with the 4 patches you are able to use one of any 4 corners so that none of the blocks

    Kathy you sure took a big bite.. a new quilter and show owner wow.. I would go to the designers of the material and block of the month that you would like to start.. it is to bad they just had quilt mart and I am sure there were plenty of kiosk's there with items to sell.. check with moda, Marcus brothers and other fabric distributers.. they will

    Hi Sandi the last one I had done and I had emailed them to post a pic and sent the picture of it.. that is the only way I see right now unless you can do a slide show with the icon that says insert media when you run your mouse along the top of this body (not mine) the screens!! LOL

    the smaller the basket the better you wonder if they are really that comfortable?? Sandy yours could be a cousin of mine they all have that wonderful underbelly of pure white and color on the top.. I am still trying to figure out how to upload pics I have 4kitties and on Geriatric bouvier/sheppard mix (13) love them all!!

    Well at least he acknowledges the one that is feeding him..LOL. I love maine coons and they are big kitties!! hopefully you will be able to settle a little come summer and the quilting season hones off a little with the hot weather.

    Joyce..I laughed when you mentioned one project at a time..I don't think I could ever do that now.. at the beginning yes but now I have so many different stages around each room that I can pick up a project and know it will be a new technique!! I sat and quilted on my quilt last night so to give the quilting finger a rest I will now put the binding
