My Grandmother started me sewing at the age of 6. I made yo-yo's and doll quilts. Later she taught me to use her treadle machine (I now own it). I took Home Ec. from 7th grade-12th grade. Sewing was always my favorite part. I made my school clothes and prom dress. I also made most of my 3 daughters clothes including their prom dresses and wedding gowns. I also made wedding gowns for most of their friends. I made my first quilt in the early 70's from the scraps of my girls clothes, so most of it was polyester. It had a blanket for batting and sport cloth(it must have been on sale) for the back. It was well loved and eventually deterioted beyond repair. I again started quilting in the 90's and the rest is history. I started teaching quilting around 1994 and made many long time friends.
