I work as a speech-language pathologist in an outpatient clinic. I work with children with autism and traumatic brain injuries. My parents live with me so that I can provide care for them and my mother helps take care of my dogs. I used to breed toy poodles but had to stop when the economy went bust. As a result, I have 15 babies that live in our house as well.
I started quilting when I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. I had always wanted to learn to quilt and finally had forced time off to spend as I wanted. Since then, I have been quilting crazy ever since.
I love to read, swim and, of all things, tuna fishing. Grew up on Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. Graduated from North Texas State University and University of Missouri-Columbia. Moved to WA state to be close to parents in 1995. Live in the desert and love to travel the 5 hours to the ocean which I had never seen prior to 1998.
I'm an ovarian cancer survivor. Was told in 1991 that I had a year to live and SURPRISE, here I am...still kickin'
That's it. All there is to know and then some.
