I'm 71 yrs. old and have been quilting most of my life. I love trying new patterns and fabrics. I'm not an award winning quilter but I'm still trying. My favorite type of quilt's are Scrappie, maybe because I have a ton of scraps. I've been a member of the Muskogee Area Quilters Guild in Muskogee, OK for about 20 years and am particularly interested in our charity program called "Reaching Out". Our primary objective is making quilts for women/children's shelters, new babies in need, local child abuse organizations and disaster victims. Right now we are also making pillowcases in conjunction with the "million Pillowcase Challenge", our goal being 100 pillowcases by the end of the year. We are also making lap quilts for wounded veterans who are patients in our local Veterans Hospital.
