About 3 1/2 years ago, I was in a book store that was closing and offering 50% off anyt books left on the shelves. I came accross Amy Butler's "Sew-iT Kit", which had patterns in a recipe card format. I didn't even have a sewing maching at the time, but I thought it would be a great hobbie to get into. As soon as I walked into my first quilt shop I was hooked. I have an art school background and up until this point hadn't considered sewing as an artistic outlet. I had done ceramics and drawing mostly. But all those beautiful fabrics!!! I was in love!
