Hi, I'm a 40 something year old, with one husband, 2 daughters and one of the sweetest granddogs a person could have. I live in North Florida and and have for most of my life. I've been actively quilting for 5 years, but been a quilter at heart for most of my life. I am blessed to have seen my great grandmother, my grandma and my mama all quilt. I have quilts going back 5 generations of my family.
My quilting is a slow process because I have to work it in with my teaching. I teach 9 through 12 graders at the local high school. I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher, teaching Nutrition, Foods and Early Childhood Education.
I guess because I am a teacher, I also love being a student so I am hoping to make some new friends, (most of the quilters in this area are much older than I am and meet during the day) and to learn how to improve my skills.
