Born in Crockett Texas, raised in Houston Texas, married at 19 and left to "see the world". And see the world we did. My husband graduated from Texas A&M, went directly into the Air Force as an officer and student pilot. After 26 years of roaming around the world, we returned to the Houston area in 1990. I have been a seamstress for 55 years, but have just recently returned to quilting. I grew up playing under the quilting frame hanging from the dining room ceiling, but I prefer to quilt by machine. While I do quilt by machine, I do not have a quilting machine. I prefer to quilt my own tops, and love to push myself to try new things. I am still married to that young student turned fighter pilot. We have 2 kids (one of each) and two grandchildren (one of each). We love living in Friendswood, Texas. When I am not quilting, I can usually be found in my yard, tending my flowers. We also love sailing and jump at the opportunity to sail on Galveston Bay as often as we can. I also knit and crochet, but much prefer quilting.
