I began my quilting journey in 2012 when I decided to quilt my grandson a quilt for his first birthday. It was my first "real" quilt, I had done some 9 patch blocks and put some lap blankets together at home, but that was just trying to "figure things out." A year ago August I finished my very first cotton quilt. I was so afraid I would mess up the binding that I chickened out and just sewed the right right sides together and flipped it inside out... little did I know that causes problems when you do your quilting if it is too big. So, I ended up with a pucker in one corner... my daughter still claims she cannot find it in the quilt anywhere.
A passion was born. I have now finished five other quilts... most quite large. I even bought a Mid Arm and a quilting frame so I could finish my own quilts. I have already decided I need a long arm. Way too much rolling and not enough quilting going on with this tiny throat space... Happy quilting!
