I started quilting in the fall of 2010 but have been sewing since the early 1960's. I even taught "Bishop Sewing" at night school to adults. I love taking scraps of fabric and making them into something useful. I make up most of my patterns as I go along and can copy most quilt patterns just by looking at a picture and deciding how much material I will need. I have only made 1 quilted tree skirt from a pattern I found on line and it was the hardest one I have done. I have made several baby quilts for friends grandchildren and all of them have been made up as I went along. I find it more relaxing and easier to do this way.
