I've been quilting since 1998 ... I'm strictly a hand-quilter. My appliqué is also always done by hand, as is some of my piecing. I'm completely self-taught ... have learned everything I do by trial and error. I don't use a hoop or frame or even a thimble ... I quilt in my lap wherever I happen to be sitting at the time. I started out quilting strictly traditional patterns but in the past 8 years I've started to branch out into more original designs. I enter the Hoffman Challenge every year ... my entry has never won an actual prize but it has gotten into the trunk show every time, 8 years in a row. I've sold a fair number of my quilts, plus I've done a few custom orders for people all over the globe.
