I work fulltime, really cuts into my sewing time. Live in Central Calif. Married, kids grown and gone and given us grandkids...8 to be exact. From 17 to 10months. =) I have been sewing since high school back when they had "home ec"...do they still teach sewing in public school? I started quilting last year, 2010 I love it! I paint, make lampwork beads, jewelry, trying to teach myself guitar (emphasis on trying), but quilting really satisfies my soul. I have made a few quilts, which I've given as gifts. My 2nd attempt at quilting I started a King sized quilt for my bed..and decided to hand quilt the thing...I finished it this year...phew, but I love this quilt! I am learning machine quilting, slow going, that.
I look forward to learning much from this club. I am such a novice...and I am itching to get to the gallery to admire all the beautiful quilts there!!
