Let's see. I am 64, retired from teaching (29 years) art and gifted education in a K-8 school and for Kids College. I used to live in NH with my husband and our 2 sons, then the boys grew up, went to college and moved to LA and San Francisco, and my husband and I sold the house in August. We have finished roving for a while (after a 3 month trip out West to the National Parks) and settled in Western North Carolina. The mountains are new to us, but remind us a bit of our home in NH. I have quilted for many years, mostly hand quilting. Now I am exploring the wonderful possibilities of paper piecing and machine quilting. Except for Celtic knots, I rarely do applique. I love playing with color and shape, and adding new twists to traditional patterns. I just delivered two California king size quilts to our boys, and have finally finished the Celtic quilt for us. I am beginning the design of a quilt and table linens based on the Prairie/Craftsman work of Frank Lloyd Wright, as we are remodeling the house with an Arts and Crafts interior.
