Hi,
I am 57 years old and live with my husband of 35 years in a little town in Northern California. Our town has 900 people and is in the foothills of the Sierra mountains. We love it here. Yes, there are small towns in California. The closed LQS is 30 miles away.
I have 3 grown children. A daughter who is 34, a son 31 and another son teaching in Thailand, 27.
I worked at a computer company for many years. I got very ill a couple of years back and had to retire to disability. I have COPD and heart problems. A year ago I had lap band surgery and that's when I took up quilting. A year later I have lost 85 pounds, am off all of my heart medications and off my oxygen. I am healthy and happy now. I still cannot go back to work though.
I love quilting. I plan on doing a quilt for all my children.
