I love to quilt and keep busy doing it. I belong to 3 quilt clubs at my local quilt shop. One is a Stash Pot Pie Club making a lap quilt each month using our stash, another is a BOM called Honoring Our Quilting Heritage, and the last is an embroidery BOM. I made my first quilt in 1975; it was a log cabin quilt for my first son. I made a quilt for my other 2 sons and then took a break during my teaching career. Since retirement, I've hit it running and loving it. How times, techniques and tools have changed! Now when we do extended vacations, I take my machine along and sew. I also visit shops along the way. During our last trip south, I actually took a class in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Fun times! I made 8 lap quilts for Christmas gifts this past year. A bit stressful getting them all finished in time. I'm looking forward to more classes and friendships made along the quilting journey.
