Right from the beginning, I loved making quilts. Thirty years ago my friend, Sandi, and I took a quilting class and I was smitten.
As my babies were born I made them each a quilt for their childhood single beds. My favorite was a whimsical Mary Engelbreit pattern named “Playtime Pals” from 1982 that became my daughters’ favorite. A series of iron-on transfers that were embellished with fabric paint was so charming that from that point on, I was hopelessly in love with the art of quilting.
Ten years ago, I began to combine embroidery and quilting and it was so much fun! Endless possibilities and endless combinations of fabrics and beautiful threads.
At this point in my life, it’s now time to focus on creating projects and patterns for others. I work in my home studio during the week pouring heart & soul into each project that I make, hoping that others will also love what I do.
Balance in my life comes from spending time with my husband, Rick and our two precious grandchildren, expanding my yoga practice and trying to keep fit by working out at the local Y.
