Retired office worker. I love spending time in my sewing room. Mostly I plan.:) Not really. I like to sew quilts the best. I also sew clothes sometimes just for fun and I sew curtains and kitchen stuff. I like to acrylic paint. I also dabbled in mosiacs, but decided to give all of that stuff to a friend who enjoys if more than I do. I don't like getting my hands cut on the shards or all messed up with that grout. Give me fabric any day.
I am married to the best guy in the world. We met on Match.com in 2001 and have been happy together ever since. We got married in April 2002, and that is when I retired from 30 years of hard labor. :) He still has to work for a few more years, but it is nice being a stay at home wife. I tried part-time work for about 18 months, but we didn't need the money and it was just nicer being able to be home.
We both like to fish, and we finally settled in a cottage by a small lake in Ohio where we spend time in the summer. It is beautiful in the Winter as well. All frozen and snow covered.
I have one grown son and we have our cute little border terrier named Molly Mae. No grandchildren yet. I am beginning to wonder if I ever will.
Among other things, one of my sewing goals is to inspire young people to sew. I am getting interest from a few young women in my life.
I used to love to cook and bake and garden and do yard work. I better watch out because quilting is beginning to top all lists. All that sitting makes for a very wide bottom.
