I joined QCA late in 2010. Although I made my first quilt thirty years ago, I feel like I am new to quilting since I have only just begun to spend any significant time pursuing the skills. I learn a lot from studying the work of others, from books at the library, and from watching television. At fabric stores I meet the nicest people who happen to be quilters and that is how I found our local quilt guild so I finally have real flesh and blood people to rub elbows with. But it is you my friends here on QCA who give me the nicest pats on the back!
We recently relocated to NW Indiana from Missouri. In May of 2011 we purchased a tiny 120 year old fixer-upper bungalow which has consumed all my time in recent months. Now that we are nearly settled in (it is November 2011) I look forward to setting up my sewing space; this will be challenging since our home has less than 800 square feet. But it is time to get all those tubs of supplies out of storage and get to work!
I'll be posting pics and I look forward to the inspiration I get in seeing your work.
