Hello, fellow quilters. I am married, no kids, crazy about all my neices and nephews, and a cat owner (Tiger). I have always wanted to quilt but was too tired after work. I retired early and started taking quilting classes thru community ed. My plan is to make every family member a quilt, which should be a lifetime's work, I hope. I love planning the design and picking material but get frustrated at my abilities. My piecing isn't the best. So far I have made throws and table runners to gain experience. I love fat quarters and have used jelly rolls. I am a sucker for fat quarter bundles. I love earth tones but I am picking my quilt patterns and colors to match the persons tastes and favorite colors. My brothers do not realize I have been gleaning this info while visiting their homes. I have a large book collection already and love to order from fatquartershop.com that I discovered thru my membership on QCA. I upgraded to a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 quilting machine. I also love to read mysteries, horror and urban fantasy, and go to movies. I have traveled a bit and look forward to more.
