I am a mature woman with a busy husband, 3 lovely daughters, and one handsome son. I have 11 grandchildren from 22 to 2 years of age and nearly all of them live within shouting distance. I have been sewing since I was 12 (in the dark ages) and learned about pulling a thread to straighten and find the straight of grain. I have only recently begun sewing on a computerized machine and still prefer my 25 year old Bernina. I began quilting about 15 years ago and enjoy the design and color of making a quilt. I am much better at piecing than quilting and have about 10 tops waiting to be quilted. I also began using a featherweight recently and enjoy the challenge of this basic machine and all of it's attachments. I also enjoy scrapbooking, thread crochet, embroidery and reading. I, of course, bake; since I'm a grandma and must live up to the preconceptions for my grandchildren's sake. I don't care that I have grey hair but I don't like it falling out; I don't care about my spots but would like to have a figure again. Mostly, I try to have some fun every day and make sure the people I love are as safe as they can be.
