I have not been exactly pleased with some of the 20 charity quilts I have made this year. Even though I machine quilt everything, my hands have been bothering me lately. However, I fault myself for trying to make too many quilts and maybe one too many birthdays! LOL My Project Linus Chapter donations have been down this year (perhaps the economy or younger people do not have time) plus I am making up scrap patterns to reduce my stash. Even though I know there are no Quilt Police watching my quilts, I still want them to be extra nice for the children in the hospitals. Perhaps if I utilize a tried-and-true Super 9-Patch pattern, my quilts will not be so curly at the edges. All I will need to do is purchase some larger focus fabric and then head to my scraps for the sides. This focus is Project Linus fabric where a portion of the price goes to the organization. Please share your charity quilt stories with me--I need some encouragement.

Dee-Duck, I think your quilts are lovely!! But I understand you wanting them to be nice! I make quilts for charities also some for Project Linus and our own church missions. Go to " bdeb50@flickr.com " then go to album marked charity to see some of the ones I have done. Mine aren't perfect either.
