This is a quilt I worked on the last year, after a workshop given by someone at my quiltbee. The idea is from Karen Eckmeier, Happy Village. The design and execution on this quilt is my own. it is very fun to do, I used vliesofix (doublesided sticky interfacing) to stick the blocks in place and organza to cover the quilttop. Then I quilted and decorated everything. The quilt is called Monte Mare, because I wanted to make it look like a mountain village, hovering over the Mediterranean sea.
