This is my first attempt of free motion quilting.  There are many many mistakes.   But for the most part, I am pretty happy with it.  I have really only done about 3 quilts my life.  But this one is the first real attempt.  The others were made from guessing and before google and youtube. hehe..  I made this for my My little brother's daughter, my neice's new baby who is almost born.  She has always had a special place in my heart for some reason.  I guess it is because she is the first born to my little brother who was so dear to me growing up.  We did everything together.  My niece loves Psychedelic colors.  I think she should have been born in the 70's generation.  She is such a hippie.  I think she is going to like it.  I posted a preview to a quilting group on facebook and she saw it and asked me if she could buy it.. lol.  Well I really didn't mean to let her see.  I didn't know that my friends could see everything I post in a group.  But I guess they can.  Well anyway, it is good to know she likes it.  And I let her know that it was not for sale.  She will be getting it next week when my other brothers travels up to see them.  He will take it and surprise her.  I spent a good part of 2 months planning and making this quilt.  I could have done it quicker if I hadn't had to work a paying job and got sick for a few weeks.  It got done, and now I don't want to give it a way.  But I will and I hope she uses it and not stuffs it in a closet somewhere and forgot about.  I think she will.

It looks great! I think she'll find it too cheerful to stick in a closet!
