This is a quilt I designed.  Found this fabric for the feathers and loved it!  Please know this is my first "art" quilt and my first time machine quilting.  I know it is all puckered, but I kind of like the effect.  :-)  I need to take my machine in for maintenance.  Anyway, it was in the making for a  couple years.  I found fabric for the backing, which is where I got the flowers and fancy decorations for the front.  I had fun creating this & experimenting!  I will keep it for myself.

I'm thinking those little white plastic rings . . . attach one at the top and one on each side . . .  if anyone has other ideas, I am open to them!

What a beautiful piece, and for the first endeavor?  Wow! Congratulations. Suggestions for hanging: Hand sew a piece of very stiff interfacing, including the tail. Use two little rings about 3" apart for the top, one ring on each side above the tail, and one ring near the end of the tail. I would wait until I have the quilt on the wall before adding the hanger for the tail.

My thought for hanging your beautiful quilt is to put some plastic rings on the back along the curved edge and along the top of the tail feathers that extend out.  Then use a couple pieces of quarter inch  or 3/8th inch plastic tubing from the plumbing section of the hardware store to go through those rings.  It would easily go through the rings but it should add some stiffness to maintain the curve.

I love peacocks and just fell in love with this, very, very beautiful, great work, you must have a ton of patience.

I have an iron on pattern of a large peacock that i'm going to have to do something with now. Keep up the great work
