Your very first quilt??!! I'd say you've missed your calling. This is gorgeous and looks very well made! Congrats!
A DWR for your first quilt? Ambitious much? This is on my bucket list of quilts. Did you also do all the quilting? The feathers are wonderful. Great job!!!!!!!!
I don't know if I am posting this comment in the proper place or not, but I would like to say thank you to MNnancy for her kind words about my first quilt. I had many challenges and there are several mistakes in the quilt, but overall it's ok. I did manage to get addicted to the art of piecing quilts and I am now wanting to learn how to do the longarm quilting. I bought 2 used quilting frames and machines within a year. One is set up in the front room of the house and the other in the backroom of the house. I hope to learn soon.
Also thanks to Maggie Nae on her comments. I did not realize this would be on my home page today. I thought it was just for my gallery. Pretty cool stuff. If there is a way I can reply to your comments somewhere else, would someone please tell me.
Maggie, the answer is no, I did not do the quilting of the quilt. I wish I could say that I did. She made my stuff look so much better. Many praises to her! I hope to learn some of the many techniques of longarm quilting soon. Thanks again ladies.
WOW!! That's amazing. Congratulations on a major accomplishment.
Great work. Love that it is so big, looks really nice on the bed. Congratulations.
Really pretty. Maybe I'll dig out my partially completed DWR
Beautiful quilt! Did you hand or machine piece? Very ambitious for your first quilt. One of these days I hopt to do one. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
I know from experience that this is a difficult pattern. You did a very nice job!
Absolutely love your Double Wedding Ring Quilt. One of the nicest color schemes I have seen.
