Center was paper pieced by Judi
First border added candles in memory of Joshua and beautiful Hebrew word, Shalom which means peace by Susie
Roxana used wheat fabric and bright in the Book of Ruth and the story of Naomi which speaks to us about loyalty and family. Ruth is said to be the grandmother of King David.
Bonita found fabulous fabric that had Hebrew letters. Teaching the Alef-Bet is a commandment for parents to teach their children. RTraditionally, A&S a child learns each letter they are given a sweet or small gift to have the child see learning as sweet! She also included pieced smaller Stars of David and I really want that pattern.
Kerry got the whole quilt a sense of cohesiveness with square in a square border. She dis a great job matching the size of the blocks to the side measurements. I know that this is a challenge.
the photo is the pieced top. I will post again after it is quilted and has a name!
i always loved the center block but had avoided making one as I was unable to visualize a finished quilt. Thank you Group 3 for rising to this challenge so perfectly
