Carpenter's Star for teenage granddaughter

This is a carpenter's star made totally of 1/2 square triangles. Instructions were written by Debbie Maddy and I purchased the pattern from Keepsake Quilting. Granddaughter quietly hinted that one day she would like a hot pink quilt. So to surprise her on her birthday, I have completed the quilt top and it is now at the long-armers. Because she plays the piano, I have used various fabrics with instruments designs. A well-seasoned fellow quilter suggested I use black thread for quilting music notes over all. Won't that look stunning over the pink?

I love your quilt.  I have some pink camo that I've been wondering what to do with.  Hope you don't mind if I STEAL your idea.

You go girl! What a compliment to inspire another in their quilting. Please do post your version.

Thanks everyone. I am getting excited about the quilt being returned from the long-armers so I can get the binding on it.
