Scrapalicious

One would think that I would eventually run out of scraps.  I have found they are like a batch of pennies in the bottom of a woman's purse....put them in a dark place, out of sight, out of mind, and they multiply!!!!!!!!  So, I have been scouring Bonnie Hunter's free patterns to see what kind of scrap quilt catches my fancy today.  This is the "16 Patch and Pinwheels" pattern.  Mine is 15x15, which makes it 90 x 90 without any additional borders.  Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you look at it) I have barely put a dent in my 2 x 2 bag of scraps.  I'm looking for another to work on now. :)  To border or not to border this quilt remains a decision for another day. :)

Jacy and I were just talking about how making scrap quilts doesn't dent the scrap supply.   Your quilt is beautiful.

Scrapalicious, indeed!  Bonnie Hunter has such good ideas for scrap quilts.  I love the pinwheel surprises in this one.  Nice job!

I love it.  I am looking up the pattern, I have a large stash and any attempt to make a dent is helpful.

I love scrap quilts and this one is great!

Unfortunately my scraps are in storage (along with most of my stash) and I'm left with one box of fabric in our trailer(but there are quilt shops close by and I'm making more scraps!!)

Note to Deena:  I started with a 2.5 gallon ziplock bag of 2 x 2 squares and got this king sized quilt top and two others with a sandwich bag of squares leftover.  Huge amount of scraps is not necessary to start. :)
