I designed the ruck-sack pattern for my kids school bags and liked how it came out so well that I made myself one, too!Someone here gave me a wonderful fossil print fabric that was used to trim and line it . I painted the footprints to match it as the flap seems too boring without them.

Very nice!  The painted footprints make a great finishing touch!  Are there shoulder straps on this sack?  (Sorry - not sure if "rucksack" is the same as a backpack.)

Cool bag CC!  What type fabric did you use?

Yes, Nancy, it has shoulder straps on the back.

Donna the bag body is sack cloth (what else?LOL) and the lining is quilters cotton. I coffee dyed the sack cloth to darken it up a bit and get a better match for the lining...not to mention hopefully camouflage dirt.

Nice, the tracks are a great addition.  Bet you can haul lot's of Sprout stuff in this bag.

This is a great rucksack CC, I really love the paw prints on the flap. Did your DD and DS make one too or did you make them?

I'll bet you could sell these to the summer visitors at your workplace.
