No, Frances, it's not quilted yet...   I'm working on background pieces for another one since I had so many flowers left over from the first one.

Yes and Yes.  The only thing I used the machine for was the borders.  I'll use it for the binding too, once I get that far.  Maybe it'll get quilted this winter when it cools off enough to have a quilt on my lap!

What I especially love is that the entire background is made of hexies.  Some people take a short-cut and applique their flowers to the whole cloth background.  I'm more in awe of those who stitch the whole thing together.

Thanks, Nancy.  I'm not so sure applique is a shortcut though... you've got to work on spacing and then all that sewing around the edges.  I figured doing hexies was easier !  LOL
