I made this quilt while recovering from foot surgery (precancerous freckle caught in time, thank God!!!).  It was difficult to make because I had to use a rolling office chair to get from cutting table to sewing machine and iron.  However, it was supposed to be finished in time for the Thimble Pleasures Quilt Guild show three years ago...and I had no choice but work on it!  Thankfully, a local longarm machine quilter was able to quilt it for me last minute.

I love that this wall hanging is made up of all batik fabric.  I grew up summers on Cape Cod; therefore, it makes me smile every time I look at it.  It is presently hanging on the wall at the halfway turning point of my staircase; therefore, I get to enjoy it several times a day!

I love that !!! I love being close to the water, so that just speaks to me.
