Newly organized quilting storage.

My wonderful sister spent a few days with me and helped me shop for storage solutions.  She even assembled the shelving we found at a resale shop.  The white canvas containers were purchased at our local Dollar Store so the whole wall with containers was less than $120.  I went on line and learned to fold my fabric all nice and neat so now my stash does not look nearly as large as it did so I guess I can still buy fabric.

Another example of a well organized room...boy, I wish I had the room to do some of that organizing.  I can barely walk into my quilting room as the frame and midarm takes up most of the area.  I need a new house, hear me husband, a new, bigger house.

LOVE this!  Wish I could do this too.  I keep my eyes open for solutions to my ever growing problem (step one, admit there's a problem).  how wide and deep are these units?

Oh yes, you have empty spaces on your shelves, you MUST buy more fabric!

You can even store your sewing machine on one of the shelves.  How cool is that?!  What do you have in all the white cartons?  I know, I'm nosy!

Thanks for all the comments.  My room is small and also serves as a very crowded guest room.  An old computer desk serves as my sewing table and there is a day bed with a trundle that makes it a queen with hardly any room to get around it but we make do.  The shelving units are by Sauder and measure about 28" W x 72" H and shelves are 11.5" deep.  The white canvas containers hold fat quarters, scraps, misc. and of course UFO's.  Would love a bigger room but organizing has made my small space (11.5' x 11.5') much more workable.
