Their first attempts at sewing on machines, my first time helping them quilt and I am a newbie at this myself. They did an great job. They chose their own fabrics from my year old stash, and decided on the pattern they wanted to use. Something very simple for their first attempts. We did use a muslin fabric for a waddling, just so the quilt would have some substance to it. The only thing I did to assist was pin on the binding, they did the rest.
