This was made for a wedding shower for a church friend.

I slightly changed the pattern that I used from Baby Lock Project that I found on line.

My casserole dish was larger as the new dishes have handles that make the dish larger than 13x9.

Not only making it bigger, I put the serving spoon holder inside on top of the flap.  I felt it would secure it better and keep clean from outside sources. ;)

I like how it turned out and the Bride to Be loved it.

I'll bet she did love it!  So clever with the spoon holder!

That is very pretty.  Love the colors.  I will be making one for a gift also...but I found a different pattern and already purchased it.  The making it bigger comment...I didn't think of that, you are right about the handles taking up space too.  I will be adding a spoon holder because that is a great idea and my pattern didn't include one.  I was wondering if you used cotton batting?  I was thinking of using the thermo-insulate batting but I'm not sure yet.       tish
