This was pieced to be the backing for a quick Christmas throw made with some French General fabric and I just couldn't waste it there. It would have suffered. It wouldn't have been quilted to show off the design. So there you go...one project begets another. This looked like a great chance to sharpen some free motion quilting and it has been that indeed! I sewed and ripped out more designs than I care to admit for those green stripes, even after having sketched and practiced and drawn them out on Press n' Seal. So it's off on the side again since it wasn't done for this Christmas and I'm mulling over just what to quilt in the green flowery background sections as well as what to do to pop that center star.
