I made this quilt for my godchild to commemorate her graduation from graduate school. I designed it myself and it is made of nine 15" blocks, each with nine photos of her as she grew up. The final block is of her at her graduation party and in her graduate cap and gown. It took me months to complete as I had health issues but also choosing the photos took quite a bit of time. My sister lives in Maine and I live in Colorado so we sent photos back and forth for months to find the right ones that would transfer onto photo quality fabric. then the trips down memory lane, although time consuming, were priceless. My sister has the quilt right now and it is being shown all over the state of Maine. My niece has not yet seen it but she will have it soon. I also made a photo book that details how the quilt was made and sent that with the quilt. It is indeed a labor of pure love.
