A sampler quilt. I made this to enter in a contest associated with the 75th anniversary of the Smoky Mountain National Park. The pattern was supplied by the contest organizers. Quilted by a professional longarm quilter who does marvelous, creative free-motion quilting. she quilted the name of each block and a brief description of what it represents about the Smoky Mountains in the sashing and quilted the name of the quilt across the top. She quilted turkey tracks in the turkey track block, bear tracks in the bears paw block, butterflies in the butterfly block, a little fire in the red center of the log cabin block, and little canoes in the crossed canoes block..
