Floating Squares Watercolor quilt detail

Created from over 5,000 squares, this shows a detail of how the design was assembled. Each floating square is made up of 25 carefully chosen 2" squares. I laid out several of these squares at a time before assembling them.

This is gorgeous, I love log cabi.s!  Your choice of colors. Is awesome, luv the effect!

Thanks Liz. It's not really a log cabin though. Each of the floating squares is combined of 4 sections (3 shaded, 1 more monochromatic), each containing 25 carefully selected 2" squares.
