Table runner for Spring 2013

This table runner was insired by the Lazy Hazy Summer Fun pattern from Quilt Trends Shop Hop 2010.

Instead of making checker boards, I just sewed strips together to make the width needed then cut to 13 inch lengths.

Then sewed the strip set to the print focus fabric to make the table topper top. It was a quilt as you go so the backing was a solid piece with a strip of the binding fabric on each end to get the correct length.

I made the binding by cutting a 2.5 inch strip and connecting together until reaching the correct length needed.

This will go to a friend in PA.
