That turned out very nice.  I was thinking how I might use a team fabric, this gives me some new ideas.  TY

Thanks for the nice comments. My friend is Irish, and I was looking for a pattern that would showcase the team print. Double Irish Chain seemed to fit. He loves it and shows pictures to anyone who will take a look. He is from Buffalo, but lives in TN now.

Sharon, This is a standard double Irish Chain. I actually made a king size double irish chain for my bed early in my quilting career from a quilt shop in Minneapolis and used those hand written directions. Instead of making 7x8, I made it an 8x8 and added two borders to make it big enough for the king size bed. I ordered the NFL team fabric online from Bear Paw Quilting Co. I ordered 8 yds and still have about 1.5 yds left after making the quilt and throw pillows. I found the pattern for how to make the throw pillows with the overlapping slit in the back so the covers could be removed and washed on line. I found the large buffalo logo from the Buffalo Bills official website and had them screen printed.
