Disappearing Nine Patch Lap Quilt
Three years ago I discovered that my New Home sewing machine was beyond repair - I had not sewn in years and had decided to spend my summer vacation sewing. So I took a huge plunge and purchased a brand new Janome Marie Osmand's Quilters Companion. Since I had mostly sewn garments, I decided to try my hand at machine quilting and played around with some charm squares, watched some demo videos by Missouri Star Quilting, and decided to try the Disappearing Nine Patch. I worked on this off and on for two years, and last winter decided that I wanted to use the top to try free-motion quilting. So! It's finished, I love it but wish it was a LITTLE bigger. I'm quite proud of the learning journey that this lap quilt took me on!
